Recently, I spent a year in Paris seeking a photographer's analog of the Lost Generation's love affair with the city and its people. My year of photographic adventures went well. I rented a small, rather run down but bohemian studio overlooking those perennially melancholy blue-grey Paris roofs, and  I photographed scores of models, mostly unexperienced young girls, French and foreign, seeking to supplement meager incomes. Each of them had their charm, beauty, and secret fantasies that I sought to reveal and capture.
